As the holiday season approaches, many families in Indiana face increasing financial strain, making it difficult to provide for their loved ones. In 2023, nearly 40% of Hoosiers reported feeling stressed about affording holiday gifts and meals (Indiana University Public Policy Institute, 2023). Many parents are forced to choose between paying bills and buying gifts, leaving some children to face the harsh realities of their families’ financial hardships. These situations can cause lasting emotional scars that no child should have to experience. The demand for holiday assistance programs has surged, with organizations seeing a 30% increase in requests for support compared to previous years (Feeding Indiana’s Hungry, 2023). You can change this!

Not everyone wants to shop for a family, fill out a form , or leave a digital signature . We understand. You can still adopt a family and we can go shopping for your family! Receipts will be sent. 

To better serve our families and offer more bang for our sponsors’ donations we have had the blessed with the opportunity to partner with PCACS who has access to inside discounts on name brand toys! For example $29.50 doesn’t buy just one Encanto doll, but with our new PCACS partnership we can get 12 rolls for $29.50! That 12 for the price of one! Donations donated for toys will be forwarded to the Porter County Aging and Community Servicesoffice office to utilize their 501c3 status while ours are pending!

This year we are offering the donation of a toy in addition to Adopt A Family. Not everyone can purchase toys for an entire family, but they enjoy giving too!

Any one who wishes to donate a toy can drop a toy off between 8 AM - 12 PM and 1 PM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday to the PCACS office found at 1005 N Campbell St, Valparaiso, IN 46385

We serve as a last-resort organization, supporting trustees and other local organizations in their efforts to provide a collaborative full support system for families facing eviction. Our mission is to aid those when all hope seems lost and no other resources are available. Eviction prevention is critical in reducing homelessness in Indiana, where over 16,000 individuals experience homelessness on any given night, with more than 1,500 living in hotels or motels due to the lack of affordable housing options (Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, 2023; Indiana Coalition for Human Services, 2023). By helping families navigate financial challenges, we work to secure stable housing and foster stronger communities.

Despite the availability of food pantries and EBT benefits, many families in Indiana still struggle to meet their basic food needs. Food insecurity impacts 11.4% of Indiana residents, including 1 in 7 children, leaving gaps that government assistance programs can’t fully cover . Many families face sudden financial crises, making it difficult for them to put food on the table even temporarily.

Through our sponsorship program, your financial donation goes directly to a budget that allows Santa Delivers to cover a family’s emergency grocery shop. These funds ensure that when families encounter an unexpected hardship, they can receive immediate help, providing them with the food they need during critical times. By sponsoring, you’re not just helping with toys; you’re putting nutritious meals on the table for children in need and helping stabilize families during emergencies.
